What free actually means here
Three things, and they are the three that usually turn out not to be true elsewhere.
- No time limit. Not fourteen days, not thirty. The free plan does not expire and does not degrade.
- No card. You are never asked for payment details to use it.
- No watermark. What you export is what you would export on a paid plan, for the features the free plan covers.
One thing it does need: a free account, to download the panel. That account is also what carries a licence key later if you ever decide to upgrade. It is the same step AutoCut asks for, and worth saying plainly rather than discovering at the download button.

Where the line is, and why it is there
The paid plans are the features that cost us money every time they run: the AI that plans and builds the timeline, and the captions written from real speech in 29 languages. Those call a model, and a model has a bill. Everything that runs entirely on your own machine stays free, and that is the whole rule.
Why this is unusual, stated carefully
The comparable panel most people land on is AutoCut, and as published on their site it has paid plans only, with no free plan. That is the one competitor claim on this page, it is about a fact rather than a judgement, and you can check it on their pricing page in ten seconds. Everything else here is about what we do.
Common questions
Is the free plan a trial?
No. It is a plan with no expiry date, no watermark and no card. It stays available for as long as you want to use it.
Why do I need an account if it is free?
The account is what the download and, later, any licence key are attached to. It needs no payment details. It is the same step AutoCut asks for.
What is not included?
The features that call an AI model: Auto Edit, which builds the timeline from A roll, B roll and music, and captions written from real speech. Also the 25 animated titles and the 20 motion presets. Everything that runs locally on your machine is in the free plan.
Does anything leave my computer on the free plan?
No. Every free feature runs entirely on your own machine. Only the AI features send anything, and they are not part of the free plan.
Will the free plan stop working if I do not upgrade?
No. It does not expire and it is not reduced over time. The panel checks a licence at most every seven days, and the free plan needs no licence key at all.
